Backstory: The Phantom Gang dirties its hands in any number of illegal enterprises. Drugs, murder, robbery, prostitution: hundreds of women serve long prison sentences for performing these acts under the orders of the Phantoms. Far more are spending the rest of eternity under a pile of dirt. All pawns of the enigmatic bosses of the Phantoms.

To further their little-understood goals, the Phantoms need money—and a lot of it. What they can't make in their illegal acts, they receive from a number of wealthy investors. Some are interested in the services the Phantoms offer. Others seek societal disorder and chaos and see the Phantoms and the best means to achieve it. For any number of reasons, these men and women find themselves at the Phantom Gang's doorstep.

When entertaining these important guests, the Phantoms balk at using the common dancers, gang-bangers, and whores they peddle on the streets. For this, a special caste in the Phantom organization exists. Only the finest among them can become Phantom Consorts. The Consorts cater to any and all of their clients' wishes and they do it with the beauty and grace expected of members of such an elite organization.
